The previous mid ranged GR5 model was quite successful in Bangladesh for its very attractive and unique features. As a result Huawei brought the sequence Huawei GR3 as a somewhat lower budget phone. GR3 price is not really much lower than GR5. Yet we find the features are quite poor comparing to GR5. There is no fingerprint sensor, display is 5 inch HD whereas GR5 has a 5.5 inch Full HD display. GR5 battery was very powerful (3000 mAh) and GR3 has only 2200 mAh. However, Huawei Bangladesh is giving a 13,000 mAh powerbank for free with GR3. This is surely a plus. Another disadvantage of GR3 is that there is no display protection, such as corning gorilla glass. Overall, the device is actually fine. But because of Huawei's rising popularity and reputation as 2nd best Android smartphone producer in the world in 2016, we expected this phone to offer a bit better features.
